Cloghane/Brandon is a great base for your self-catering holiday. The villages are family
friendly and you can have a great holiday.
Cloghane is quiet and tucked away beneath the towering peaks of Mt Brandon, and
Brandon is washed by the surf of Brandon Bay. The area is a hikers dream, surrounded by scenic walks with views over Brandon
Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
There are many pubs in the area offering live traditional music. There are
also small shops and local artists who'd love to have you in to see them.
Dingle is 20 minutes across the
Conor Pass, where you can find great shopping, restaurants and the Slea Head
drive. Dingle town has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. There will be lots
of fresh seafood. Dingle is one of the largest fishing ports in Ireland. and
ensure a plentiful supply of fresh fish. While
in Dingle take a trip out to see Fungi the "Dingle Dolphin".
Tralee, where the International Rose
of Tralee Festival is held, is about 30 minutes away.
Killarney and the Ring of Kerry are about 30 miles away.
